SC Johnson's headquarters features an immense 3 story atrium, a central hub connecting several hallways and common areas. Designers at Ralph Applebaum and Associates wanted sound design to connect the site to Fortaleza, Brazil where SC Johnson began as importers of carnauba wax.

MorrowSound began with sophisticated acoustic analysis of the complex space and designed an intervention that both addressed acoustic issues of the vast atrium, and links the building to the Carnauba region in real time. Local weather data is used to select sounds from a vibrant library of Fortaleza sounds including jungle birds, a river and waterfall, village activity and air traffic.
